This book took two years to write. It started as a short story and took me two years to convert it into a full length novel. I love that she’s the grump about the holiday. I struggle with holiday grumpiness and I definitely related to Elena. Additionally, this is set in Milwaukee, WI so I got to bug my family who live in the area for different aspects of the story.
