The world could be transformed if Riley can only stay alive long enough.
Most parents leave you a house, a car, or money when they die. Riley’s mom left her a treasure hunt with a mysterious payoff. Now everyone seems to want a piece of Riley and her inheritance: the university, the military, mega corporations, and Russian spies.
Riley needs help to solve her mother’s murder, and Dagger Easton’s salvage and investigation company comes to her rescue. Retired SEAL, private eye, and leader of a diving and salvage team, Dagger promises to protect Riley with his life. But as the value of her mother’s research becomes clear, Riley begins to believe there’s no one she can trust–not with her life, her heart, or her mother’s legacy.

      1. I have a few favorites in this book. Here are 2 between Riley and Dagger that came to me.

“Wait one second. My brain isn’t that scrambled. I believe you both insulted and complimented me. Thank you—I think.”
Her warm laugh made him grin. “Okay, champ. Let me help you inside and you can show me where to put my stuff.”

The doctor chuckled and shook his head. “Mind if I ask how long have the two of you’ve been dating?”
Riley’s previously pale face flushed bright pink.
        “Oh, we’re not—dating. Riley’s a client.”
“Is that what they’re calling it these days?” The doctor chortled. His gaze jumped from Riley to Dagger.

  1. I needed to write something different from Winters Sisters, because I originally pitched my story to some editors and agents. I had a lot of interest but ultimately decided to stay on my indie path. I have many family members in and retired from the military. My husband is retired Navy, step-son, BIL, and FIL. My step-daughter retired from active duty (so they claim) from the Coast Guard and is now in reserves. Her current station is USNORTHCOM. So I have great resources. My husband was a Navy salvage diver and I’ve always been fascinated with it. This storyline fits my writing, which tends to be fast-paced. Here’s a link to my own blog, where I give more explanation. Thanks Eileen! https://originalitybydesign.blogspot.com/2019/06/there-is-reality-woven-within-pages-by.html
