Sammantha Anderson

Sammantha Anderson and I connected on social media. She writes paranormal suspense romance.

Author Bio

Sammantha Anderson is the writer of The Hellborn Series.  Most of her days, she spends working with Savannah to create the hellborn world.  When she is not busy talking to her characters, you can find Sammantha with her husband and two active children, reading, workout or binge watching Grey’s Anatomy.

Tell us about yourself.

I am a wife and mother of two.  I have a daughter age eleven and a son who is six years old.  I am also a paraprofessional, working with SSN kids.  Outside of that, I write paranormal romance and all about living a healthy lifestyle.

When did you know you wanted to be an author?

I knew I wanted to write when I was a teenager.  I was assigned a creative writing class my senior year of high school.  I was terrified when I saw it on my schedule.  I was not a great student because of my learning disability and the thought of writing about what went on in my head just didn’t sound like a great idea.  I had a friend in the class, she actually told me I should drop the class because I wouldn’t be good at it.  That seemed like a challenge and I stayed in the class.  It turned out I loved doing it.

What genres do you like to read?  Are these the same genres you write in?

I like to read paranormal, paranormal romance, autobiographies, and suspense.  I write paranormal romance with suspense.

Is your book for adults, young adults or children?

My books are for adults.

What is your current release or project?

My current projects are all for my Hellborn Series.  I have just finished the edit on book two called Bad Karma.  It will be released on November 18th, 2019.  I am also working on the edit for book three and I am starting the outline and drafting process for book five.

Tell us about the key characters

Savannah Woods is the main character.  She is a badass ley line witch, who is also a hunter of other hellborns who break the law.  She tends to be a bit of a reactionary when others are being harmed, particularly when it is someone she loves.

Meri Embers is a vampire and Savannah’s best friend.  She has the ability of persuasion.  Meri is funny, sarcastic, and willing to back up Savannah at anytime.  She also likes to pick on Savannah a bit, which is always hilarious to read when it happens.  Savannah gives as good as she gets.

Santiago De los Rios is the second in command of the Black Grove Clan.  He has a very cool ability where he smells emotions but he also has the ability to make you feel what he wants you to feel.  This can be good and bad depending on which side you are on.  He is also Savannah’s love interest.  Santiago is charming, good looking, and intelligent.

Damian Vanguard is the Alpha of the Falls wolf pack.  He was Savannah’s first love.  Damian tends to be a reactionary but in a different way than Savannah.  He jumps to conclusions and takes things personally when they are not.  This causes many problems between Savannah and Damian.

What is your blurb or synopsis of the book?

Military woman with a gun over black background

This is from my first book Bad Witch Walking.  Enjoy.

“How long have you been interested in me?” I asked.

 “Long enough.”

 “What does that mean?”

“We first met close to nine years ago.  When you called the club asking to meet, I thought you had a beautiful voice, but I had heard many beautiful voices over the years.  It intrigued me.  When we met later that day I noticed your eyes first.  The blue becomes brighter with strong emotions.  When you pull on a ley line they become almost electric. Your scent fills the room.  You move your hands through your hair.  I love watching you as you move.  I have been taken with you since I laid eyes on you.  The more time I have spent with you the more I want you,” he replied.

“Why did you wait until now to say anything?”

“I knew of your history with Damian.  You were still in love with him.  I did not want to come between the two of you.  I also had a working relationship with Damian as well.  Our treaty has brought peace between the vampires and wolves.  Your case forced my hand.  When Hugo became unsure of you I knew I had to step in to help.  Kissing you was supposed to be nothing more than a cover.  I did not anticipate how you would respond when I kissed you. You are very hard to resist Savannah.”

I took the two steps that stood between us and kissed him.  Santiago had been right about my desire for him the night before.  I had been looking for comfort.  Now I wanted the male for his honesty.  He had pined for me.  He had placed his desires to the side for the good of the hellborn society.  I wanted him more than words could say in that moment.  The kiss broke when we both heard the front door open followed closely by Meri’s voice.

“Wake up if you aren’t… Well hello there,” she smiled as she saw us holding each other.

My face flushed red matching my hair. This was not how I wanted her to find out.  I could see as her hazel eyes sparkling with mischief for what was in store for me later.

“I should leave.  Please be safe tonight,” Santiago said as he placed a light kiss on my forehead.

Do you have a favorite scene?

I have a lot of favorite scenes.   One of them is the rest of this scene after Santiago leaves.  Meri  kind of messes with Savannah about her interest in the vampire and then Damian shows up which just adds fuel to the fire for Meri. It’s hilarious

What advice would you give a beginner?

It is advice I heard from one of my favorite authors she said it perfectly “be you, do you.”  Don’t try to be  someone else or write what you think people want to read. Write what you want to read and the story you want.

Servant of Salem

Servant of Salem
by Breanna Hayse
Genre: Paranormal Romantic Suspense, Time Travel
The intricate patterns woven into the tapestries of time are not always to be understood, but to be accepted as just being. The truth serves to illuminate the enlightened and destroy the deeds of the wicked, and know always that there are those who will silence it. My hope for mankind is to learn from the past to better the future and that people become wise to the power of their lies, and not be fooled as those who were fooled before…” ~ The Master of Salem; Robert Calef, PhD. Salem, MA 2015
Destiny Calef has two great passions in her life: her handsome and incredibly sexy professor husband, Robert, and serving the truth of history – particularly that of the world-renowned, infamous witch trials of Salem, Massachusetts.
Granted as part of their research stipend, the couple moves into the old Downing farm, the former residence of the accused witch, John Proctor. It is there where Destiny’s dreams become nightmares, and she is plagued by a recurring vision that occurs at the exact same time of 3:33 a.m. There is no escape from the images that haunt her mind, and no answers with regards to their purpose. Her only hope lies in finding a clue hidden in Robert’s secret library that is locked in the basement’s vault. But Robert refuses to give her the key…
Curiosity and desperation get the better of her and Destiny defies Robert’s orders to steer clear of his library. In that room, she discovers the truth about her husband’s troubled past and his incredible secret… one which will not only turn her life upside down, but will lead to her standing face-to-face with one of history’s most manipulative and notorious accusers of witchcraft, the Reverend Samuel Parris himself. This was a man who was known to get what he wanted, no matter the cost, and the portrait painted by history was nothing compared to his true evil and selfish nature.
Time has brought Destiny to 17th century Salem for a reason, but there are rules regarding changing the course of events, and severe consequences when these rules are broken. Destiny soon discovers that the kinky role-play games she and Robert enjoy enacting in the bedroom are child’s play compared to the harsh deliverance of penance in colonial life. She also learns that things written in the history books are not always the truth, and makes it her mission to not only save innocent lives from the clutches of Samuel Parris, but to let everyone in the future know that what is written is not always the truth.
Author’s Note:
I started this piece as a historian, following the treasure map of documents and accountings of the infamous 1692 Witch Trials of Salem. What I discovered between the pages of history were the specters of truth lost in the kaleidoscope of time and concealed in the shadows of those who hungered for power and property. This is not about ghosts, witches or the paranormal as I had originally supposed, given my fascination of the subject matter, rather a love story that stood the test of time. A man and woman of flesh and blood, and how their trust, love and sacrifice broke the chains of evil. Now revealed, I offer that truth to you and pray that your eyes are open to that which is, not that which is desired. ~ Servant of Salem
Based on actual facts and historical data, #1 Best-Selling Multi-Genre author Breanna Hayse delivers a compelling tale of love, fear, lust, lies, loyalty and the reality of corporal punishment like she’s never done before in this: Servant of Salem.
BDSM/AP lifestyler Breanna Hayse strives to give her readers truth and reality of the BDSM/Age-Play/Total Power and Erotic Exchange lifestyle.
Who am I?
I’m a native Californian gone ‘wild’, and had the opportunity to travel the globe and discover the world through the eyes of both a Marine Intelligence specialist and a BDSM lifestyler. I left the service to go into hospice nursing and grief counseling, eventually working as a marriage and family therapist for those involved in alternative lifestyle development. This experience has allowed me to gain unique inspiration for my books and offer realistic plots and relatable characters.
In 2004, my husband, John, and I joined forces to work with both submissives and dominants- teaching, training, listening and loving. Our goal was to take the mystery and fear out of the lifestyle and mentor people in safe, consensual and healthy relationships.
My first book, The Game Plan, was published in 2012 and opened the door to the now-booming world of Age-Play literature. Since that time, I’ve devoted my ‘spare’ time to writing, researching, community involvement, and private and group pro bono counseling in deviant behavior, alternative lifestyle, and addiction recovery.
I was formally ‘dungeon trained’ as a Domme before discovering my submissive side when I joined the service. My scenarios are pulled primarily from either personal experience or observation, including spending time in BDSM clubs as the safety/medical officer. My multi-faceted background allows me to glean from many avenues and give a unique and intelligent literary experience through elements of fantasy and fiction. I also discuss the questions and psychology of the lifestyle in a manner that is fun and informative, and based on ‘the real deal.’
I live with my husband, musician, and fellow-author, John Hayse, and two border collies in southern California. We practice a 24/7 D&S relationship with speckles of AP (and many trips to Build-A-Bear), and happily spend every moment together that we can. My hobbies include my puppies, hiding my vanilla salt-water taffy where John can’t find it, exotic art, collecting inspirational trinkets, and developing my own paddle line. You can also see me as a featured author/instructor in professional conference settings and as a Sexpert for kinkyliterature.com.
