Cult
Feisty Lawyers Book 3
by Seelie Kay
Genre: Romantic Suspense
When college students begin disappearing from American campuses, a notorious cult, God’s Delight, is the primary suspect. God’s Delight has been hosting shows featuring sex, drugs, and rock and roll around the country, and young people are flocking to them.
Among the missing is the President’s goddaughter, and he wants answers. When he asks Agent Cade Matthews, a member of a secret covert organization, to find her, the mission appears fairly straightforward. Find the God’s Delight compound, determine whether a welfare check on American cult members is warranted, and get out. Simple. Clean. Easy.
Cade sends newly-married Agents Dianna Murphy and Anders Mark to the University of Wisconsin to follow the trail to God’s Delight, but when they wind up in Bolivia, things go sideways. Suddenly, what appeared to be nothing more than a simple in-and-out could cost Dianna her life. When an Agency extraction is ordered, chaos erupts, and the question becomes, will anyone survive?

      1. I think this passage sums up my attitude toward cults:

“Very good. Now, I really am curious. What has this experience taught you about cults?”

Tillie flushed. Then she said, “Those who can lead, do, sir. And those who can’t, follow. Sometimes, they join the military or a terrorist cell, and sometimes, they join a cult. It’s a great repository for lost souls and people with bad judgment.”

          1. Actually, there were two reasons for writing a book about a cult. First, I had friends in college who got sucked into cults and had to fight like hell to get out. Second, I had a relative who started a rather notorious cult. After doing a lot of background research, I was fascinated, as well as appalled at the B.S. he dished out and people bought. I have a strong interest in human slavery, since it takes so many forms throughout the world. My first book in this series, “Snatching Dianna,” dealt with white sex slave trafficking. This one is devoted to how cults entice and enslave people, often without their victims even realizing it.
