Serenity Rayne

Serenity Rayne and I met on social media. I’m in one of her groups. Her book looks fun and sexy. Who doesn’t like dragons and wolves?

Author Bio

I am a nurse with an associates degree in psychology. Mother to a high spirited 15 year old boy and wife to an accident prone adventure seeking husband. In my spare time I go to archery shoots to compete. I am a strong advocate in the LGBTQ community because of and for my baby brother

Tell us about yourself

I’m a mom, a nurse, wife, author and an outdoors person. I also shoot competitively in archery competitions.

When did you know you wanted to be an author?

When I kept searching for something to read and nothing sparked my interest.

What genres do you like to read?

I love horror, paranormal anything. I want an escape when I read, I don’t want something that can really happen.

Are these the same genres you write in?

My first series is a paranormal reverse harem romance with a splash of horror. A secret project of mine is a paranormal horror novel and I have a co-write in the works that will be post apocalyptic menage

Is your book for adults, young adults or children?

Definitely adults.

What is your current release or project?

Current release is Hide Little Wolf.

Tell us about the key characters

Aurora – first known dragon lycan hybrid. She’s a take no shit kind of a girl. She has a very bad temper and impulse control problems. Her sense of justice is absolute. There’s no grey area in her thinking when she’s passing judgement.

Sebastian – Lycan mate of Aurora’s. In his mind he’s an alpha and his cockyness in the beginning he pulls it off for a while. He’s literally the pack asshole / bully in a sense. He feels entitled in the sense his father was alpha and now he’s the first mate so he feels he’s above the other mates.

Dominik – Dire Wolf mate and twin to Jayce. He’s kinda very Switzerland with a lot of things. He’s an enforcer so he has a strong sense to protect. He’s not fond of Sebastian cause of his over inflated sense of self. He’ll do what he has to do to protect his mate and brother.

Jayce- Dire Wolf mate and brother of Dominik. Jayce is an absolute sweetheart. He’s perfectly in touch with his feelings and helps quell Aurora’s rage and temperament. He’s a planner and extremely thoughtful. Besides Aurora I have to admit Jayce is a favorite of mine.

What is your blurb or synopsis of the book?

My name is Aurora and I am the last of my bloodline. My family was killed by the Strigoi within moments of my birth. My life was entrusted to my Guardians Dimitri a Great Bear and Andre a Golden Eagle. We were sent through a portal to the new world to hide and protect me. We’ve spent the last two hundred years on the move like gypsies. The time has come and I’ve obtained my full power. The hunt for my mates is on. Once I succeed I will take back my mother’s throne and dance on the bones of the Strigoi.

Her head whipped up to see her father walking away, giving her his back. She’d practically been disowned by her family for the disgrace she’s brought upon them. You can tell when it clicked, when Ravenna felt she had nothing left to live for. Her wolf immediately took over, having scented me on Aurora. Within moments, the smaller black wolf was attacking the great white wolf. It’s kind of sad to say, but Aurora’s wolf looks bored. She’s playing with the smaller wolf swatting at her and tossing her across the challenge circle.

Without warning, Aurora shifted back to her mostly human form. She only left her hands and feet shifted to that of her wolf. Honestly her shifted hands and fingers look more dragon than wolf. Thick rigid white scales adorned her hands and fingers like armor. The talons at the ends of her armored hands look like velociraptor claws. Her tail still swayed behind her, showing just how relaxed she truly was. There was a defiant smirk on her lips as she stared down the pissed off black she-wolf. With a flick of her hand, she signaled for her to come at her.

As Ravenna charged, Aurora leapt up, right hand out, with talons extended. Her momentum sent her over Ravenna’s shoulder, her claws sinking into the she-wolf’s throat. Aurora’s left hand shot out and into the she-wolf’s back. In one fluid move she severed Ravenna’s head, and ripped out her heart. Thick crimson fluid sprayed the crowd as Aurora completed her finishing move. If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes I never would have believed it.

Do you have a favorite scene?

The scene in the gladiator pit so far has to be my favorite.

What advice would you give a beginner?

Don’t give up. Write the book you want to read.

Finally reunited with her companions, the burdens placed on them are taking their toll. Thoughts of suicide and mistrust plague the company. Slowly unravelling, they must conquer their personal battles before standing against the evil threatening the land.

A Prophecy Fulfilled
The Vaelinel Trilogy Book 3
Regrouping after their escape from the Light Elves, Irewen and her companions fear the worst after black smoke plumes on the horizon. for their lives, but their efforts aren’t enough. Irewen is captured and dragged into the heart of the Corrupter’s lair.
Having his prize, the others in the company are granted their freedom, but at a great cost: the one named in the prophecy who is meant to unite the elf forces and stand against the Corrupter is lost to the world – trapped beneath the Corrupter’s talons.
With the aid of his mother’s spirit, Brendell must now find a way to gather an alliance strong enough to march against the Corrupter and his army, but his time is running out. Each day that passes brings Irewen closer to death.
And the world closer to destruction.
Andi O’Connor is a multi-award winning author of epic fantasy novels and short stories with a healthy dose of paranormal mixed in. She sits in front of her typewriter (yes, typewriter!) every day and loses herself in her worlds and characters in hopes that her readers will fall in love with them as well. When she’s not clacking away, you can find Andi dancing her butt off in the ballet studio. Rest assured, she’s not the next Natalia Osipova, but she has a mean collection of leotards and always finds an excuse to buy more.
She loves bats and dreams of turning her yard into a certified bat habitat. She has three dogs who constantly work hard to drive her insane, but their fluffy cuteness outweighs any insanity they can bring. Her husband ‘Honeybee’ is wonderfully supportive of her author life, and her son ‘P’ may or may not have claimed her typewriter as his own on several occasions. Deadpool is her spirit animal, and her motto is Embrace Your Crazy. We’re all unique and crazy in our own ways, and Andi hopes others will join her by being proud of their quirks and embracing their crazy!

The Witchkin Murders

The Witchkin Murders
Magicfall Book 1
by Diana Pharaoh Francis
Genre: Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance
Four years ago, my world—the world—exploded with wild magic. The cherry on top of that crap cake? The supernatural world declared war on humans, and my life went straight to hell.
I used to be a detective, and a damned good one. Then Magicfall happened, and I changed along with the world. I’m witchkin now—something more than human or not quite human, depending on your perspective. To survive, I’ve become a scavenger, searching abandoned houses and stores for the everyday luxuries in short supply—tampons and peanut butter. Oh, how the mighty have fallen, but anything’s better than risking my secret.
Except, old habits die hard. When I discover a murder scene screaming with signs of black magic ritual, I know my days of hiding are over. Any chance I had of escaping my past with my secret intact is gone. Solving the witchkin murders is going to be the hardest case of my life, and not just because every second will torture me with reminders of how much I miss my old life and my partner, who hates my guts for abandoning the department.
But it’s time to suck it up, because if I screw this up, Portland will be wiped out, and I’m not going to let that happen. Hold on to your butts, Portland. Justice is coming, and I don’t take prisoners.
Diana Pharaoh Francis is the acclaimed author of a dozen novels of fantasy and urban fantasy. Her books have been nominated for the Mary Roberts Rinehart Award and RT’s Best Urban Fantasy. The Witchkin Murders is the first book in her exciting new urban fantasy series—Magicfall.
