Lori Aisling
Lori Aisling and I met through mutual friends. I love that she considers herself a country girl!
Author Bio
Lori Aisling lives her life wrapped up in the fantasy worlds that dance around in her brain. Blessed with the gift of gab, Lori started her obsession with storytelling by working in the radio industry. Her desire to delve deeper into other worlds has led her down a path overflowing with magic, survival, love, and honor. Lori lives in Colorado with her lovable brute of a BF on a little farm. When she’s not writing, she’s probably playing with goats, chasing chickens or sinking her fingers into the dirt of her garden.
Tell us about yourself:
Hmm. Where to start? I am a simple country girl that was raised on a cattle ranch in western Colorado. After high school graduation, I moved to Alaska to be closer to my family that had relocated there. After a couple of years, I realized the cold and dark winters were not something I was going to be able to handle, so I got in my car and started driving. I ended up in eastern Washington in an itty bitty town that somehow called to me. I had taken a job in a gold mine in the bush of Alaska, so I lived in Washington in the winter and worked in the mine in the summer. Cooking for a 24-hour crew of gold miners will open your eyes- let me tell ya. It was an amazing experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything. I saw more bears than people in those summers, about drowned at one point, and saw scenery that most people never get to view. Since we were completely off-grid (there wasn’t even a road to get there), I added to my already impressive knowledge of sustainable living. I began writing at that time- having no TV, radio or phone service opens you to other methods of self-entertainment.
Back in Washington, I was offered a job at a radio station and decided to take it. I worked as a live DJ for a morning show (and gosh darn it, we were damn funny!) and I also learned how to record shows and produce commercials. I had a great time and met some amazing people in the years that I worked there. When the depression of 2009 struck, the company I worked for was hit hard. Many of the full-time employees were laid-off at that time, and I was one of the casualties.
I had been in communication with a friend from Colorado for a while and it almost seemed that the lay-off forced me to make some tough decisions. I had never had any desire to return to Colorado, but I didn’t want to give up on the budding relationship I was in. So I yet again packed all my belongings and headed across the country. I have been back in Colorado for 10 years now, and I am happy to report that the relationship was worth it. He drives me insane and I gladly return the favor at every opportunity. I work for a water conservancy district and live on a small farm. I enjoy gardening, canning, cheese-making, and a million other self-sustaining tasks. Writing has been a passion since I was young- a way to give life to the worlds and characters that live in my head. I am thrilled to be able to show readers my worlds and just hope that they decide to stick with me for a while– I have a lot to show them!
When did you know you wanted to be an author:
Honestly, I never really thought it would happen for me. I just assumed that my writing would be simply ‘for me’. But about a year ago, I decided to give it a try and I am so glad that I did. I have dreamed of seeing a book that I wrote in print since I was in elementary school.
What genres do you like to read? Are these the genres you write in?
I will read darn near anything: true crime, mystery, historical fiction, romance, even some political non-fiction if it’s poignant– there isn’t much I shy away from. However, I always return to fantasy. It’s my #1 favorite genre and always will be. As a child, I might have read Little House on the Prairie and Black Beauty, but I was absolutely engrossed with The Wind in the Willows. Life is so real– books are a wonderful way to get a break from the reality of the daily grind. I highly doubt I will ever write outside of the fantasy genre- it’s just where my brain lives.
Is your book for adults, young adults, or children?
Adults. I may release a book someday that could work for a YA audience, but I tend to be quite graphic in my writing.
What is your current release or project?
The Change: Earth Realm was released on the 24th of October. It’s a post-apocalyptic/Dystopian fantasy trilogy. I am currently finishing the re-writes and polishing of book 2; The Change: Four Others- and hope to have it released before Christmas.
Tell us about the key characters
Let me warn you- I am in love with these characters, so forgive me if I get a little worked up telling you about them!
Bristol- She is our main character and the key to saving Earth (no pressure, right?!). This girl is the total package- smart, savvy, and wily- yet compassionate and devoted. I wrote Bristol to encompass every trait all us ladies work towards in the path to better ourselves.
Ristan- Here’s an insider tip that I haven’t told anyone except my editor- Ristan is actually the character that is telling me this story. Most people would assume it would be Bristol, but it’s not. It’s this big, strong, alpha male that is dedicated to Bristol and her quest. He has a very ‘no holds barred’ approach to life, but he’s quite soft when it comes to her. This guy hides a beast inside- literally- and when awoken, expect stuff to get broken.
Bror- Bror is the ‘Viking’ of the bunch- blue-eyed, blonde hair, and tall in stature. He embodies comfort and understanding for Bristol, so you can expect him to give you a big case of the ‘feels’ when he’s not slaying demon-spawn.
Bane- You’ve heard of a ‘silver-tongued devil’, right? Well, Bane is silver-eyed instead, and with his dominating personality and incredible knowledge of the gods and their powers, he adds a lot to Bristol’s team. If you like your guys with a hint of ‘dom’ in their character, he’s your daddy. I won’t say more since he enters the series late in book 1. You’ll have to read book 2 to really get a taste of Bane.
Caspian- Cas plays a very small role in book 1, so like Bane, you’ll need to continue the series to really sink your teeth into this funny and friendly member of the team. Sneak peek- every one of her Other’s has been granted traits by numerous gods- Caspian’s jovial and easy-going nature is also host to one of the most vicious and destructive powers that could ever be bestowed. This green-eyed darlin’ should not be underestimated.
Jessie, Jayson, & Boz- These are Bristol’s three best friends. Jessie is a red-headed, fiery female who is also a tiger shifter, Jay is a blue-eyed vamp with a penchant for brutality, and Boz is the loyal, sweet-natured Fae. Unlike many other series, her friends aren’t just ‘filler’. These three are legitimate fighting machines; each of them bringing unique gifts to the table.
Their loyal steeds- I have to mention the horses. Any reader who loves the different breeds and appearances of horses will love this element of the book. Not only are they a mode of transportation, but they are also an integral part of the team. And yes, Max is real and the most incredible horse I have ever had the honor of knowing.
What is your blurb or synopsis of the book?
A Nebraska farm girl who is more then she appears to be. Four powerful warriors created to guide, defend, and empower her at all costs.
A decade ago, an apocalyptic event raptured the majority of the planet’s inhabitants, the remaining citizens left scrambling to survive in this new world. Now, hordes of evil beings wipe out the town Bristol was calling home, and she finds herself as the focus of a story too impossible to be true. Fighting demons, beasts, and her destiny, Bristol will need to embrace this game the gods have created in order to succeed. Awakening her power, relying on her friends, and reuniting with the four men that hold an equal stake in this battle will lead her to the pinnacle of her journey.
The continued existence of Earth hangs in the balance. Literally.
- Reverse Harem
- Trigger warning: This novel contains violence, including sexual violence, which some readers may find disturbing.

Ristan’s eyes blazed amber and she saw his fangs emerge. His body seemed to morph, becoming even larger. His hands ended in sharp, black claws that shredded one side of Fear’s face. “You must run, Bristol! This is the only chance we have to save you and the realm.” The thought came at her as a snarl and Bristol scrambled to her feet, running out the door and down the street, heading the opposite direction that they had come when they entered the town. She ran hard, pumping her legs, her lungs screaming for more air. Tears streamed down her face, leaving Ristan filling her with dread. As she approached the outskirts of town, in the thick darkness she saw movement headed at her at a breakneck speed. Phase was running straight at her, his eyes glowing the same amber as the man for whom he was created. Seeing the giant warhorse filled her with resolve. If he would run headlong into the battle, she would not run from it. “Wait for me, Bror. I cannot leave him,” she said, resolved.
“Bristol, NO!” Bror screamed in her head. “Fear will kill you! If you die, all is lost!” The anguish was apparent in his thoughts, yet she could not walk away from this. As the horse neared her, Bristol braced herself and softened her knees. Right as he was about to pass her, Bristol reached up and grabbed the saddle horn, swinging her right leg into the air. Flinging herself onto his back Bristol leaned into the horse’s mane. “Go to him,” she commanded the steed. The horse laid his ears back as his neck stretched forward and he raced across the gravel street back in the direction she had just fled. Coming up fast to the bar, she saw Ristan stumble out the door. Blood marred his features and he leaned into the doorframe for balance. Black tendrils of inky ooze were sliding through the windows, and following him out the door, trying to surround him. Phase let out a snort and a whinny and Ristan looked up. “Grab onto me, Ristan. I will not leave you here. If you die, I die. Leaving you is not balance. You are mine.” She heard Bror screaming in her mind, his fear for her apparent as she projected to both of them. Approaching at breakneck speed, she leaned off to the side of the horse, extending herself, crooking her elbow. Ristan hooked her arm in his and swung up behind her. Never breaking stride, Phase continued to run at top speed, Bristol leaned over his neck, Ristan wrapped around her back.
“Gods, Bristol! Where are ya, girl! Ristan!” Bror was frantic in his thoughts.
“I have him, Bror. We will find you soon. Keep riding. Keep yourself and my friends safe, we will catch up soon. None of us can risk getting captured. I will never leave either of you behind. You will not sacrifice yourselves for me. You are my Others, not my lambs to be slaughtered.”
Riding at a full run around the outskirts of the town, Phase dodged obstacles, cleared fallen trees and kept his footing as they raced from the settlement in the direction the rest of the team was headed. Leaving the mayhem behind them in a cloud of dust, Phase carried them into the safety of night.
Do you have a favorite scene?
I think I do- and then I re-read a section and change my mind. However, I really do love the scene with Bristol, Bror and Ristan in the mountains when the guys are helping her hone her powers. I feel that this particular section really cements the bond between the team. The character building that takes place is really relevant and important in giving readers an ‘insider look’ at the dynamics of the group.
What advice would you give a beginner?
Heck, we are all beginners, right? If you have written one book or one hundred- every new manuscript is a fresh story with its own challenges and hurdles. As an infant novelist myself, I tell myself every day to just keep writing. Whether it’s ten words for five thousand– don’t let that story get away from you. The world needs your tale.

Q&A with Author Sherry Foster
- Was a possible audiobook recording something you were conscious of while writing?
- When I wrote the first book a second book wasn’t even a possibility much less an audiobook. I think, if I could have seen that far ahead I would have done things differently.
- How did you select your narrator?
- I put a sample up on ACX and accepted auditions. I received several and actually signed a contract with one, but it fell through. So I tried again and Jacq was the only one to absolutely nail a certain character. I knew then she would be able to give my characters the voice I had in my head.
- Did you give them any pronunciation tips or special insight into the characters?
- I sent Jacq a page or so of character descriptions and tried to give her insight into how I heard the character.
- Were there any real life inspirations behind your writing?
- In Gabby there weren’t any real life inspirations. In the books which follow Gabby there are scenes that have really happened in my life with family or my significant other that I felt fit well.
- How do you manage to avoid burn-out? What do you do to maintain your enthusiasm for writing?
- I have other projects I work on when not working on Safe Haven Wolves and I “vacation” every other month. I live in Louisiana and my significant other now lives in North Dakota. I fly up every 4 to 7 weeks and stay 3 weeks with him. I work on my books while he works and I get my inspiration from him. He is a massive well of encouragement.
- Are you an audiobook listener? What about the audiobook format appeals to you?
- Oh no. Not even a little bit. I do not have to sort of attention span that lets me listen to a book.
- Is there a particular part of this story that you feel is more resonating in the audiobook performance than in the book format?
- Each and every scene with Stormie was exactly how I imagined her and I think you can really get a feel for her from the narration over the book. She isn’t the main character but she is a steady character throughout the series.
- If you had the power to time travel, would you use it? If yes, when and where would you go?
- Yes, I think I would. But I wouldn’t want to stay long. I would love to see the pyramids being built and then jump forward in time to when bison roamed the plains of the United States by the millions.
- What do you say to those who view listening to audiobooks as “cheating” or as inferior to “real reading”?
- I think audiobook listeners have a bit of an advantage over readers. They can listen while driving, while eating, while doing chores and while exercising. So I don’t think of it as cheating.
- What bits of advice would you give to aspiring authors?
- I have to answer this one with a simple join the facebook group 20booksto50k and read all the files. It is practically a masters course in publishing with success. Or perhaps I should say marketing with success.
- What’s next for you?
- More Safe Haven Wolves and more Deyarian Universe books. I also have a gargoyle romance in the works and a possible dragon shifter series.
Author Sherry Foster’s Top 10 Perks of Being an Author
- You can write anywhere as long as you take your computer with you. I know authors who write using a tablet or their phone. This allows me to write while I am home and write while I visit my boyfriend half a country away from home. Honestly being an author is the only thing that allows me time to visit him. Before I became an author I was a truck driver. Five foot tall is not a typical truck driver, especially not in the field I specialized in but I did that for years. Just about the time I was able to quit truck driving and take up being a full time author my boyfriend got a job in the oil field 1800 miles away. This job allows me to have a life I didn’t have before.
- As long as you have an internet connection you can work on everything else you need to do to be an author. And since writing is only a small part of being an independently published author there is a lot of stuff you have to do to succeed.
- So many beautiful covers to choose from. One of my friends is a cover artist and she is constantly posting cover I NEED. I mean, I don’t write in that genre, but I could. One of the funniest posts we had was after book 8 was published. I had cried and whined to her about my characters not cooperating and swore that my fans were going to jump ship on me when they read the book. I write about wolf shifters but book 8 deviated greatly from my plan. She posted an alien romance cover and I wanted it. She said, but you don’t write alien romance. I said, yeah, you haven’t read book 8. Two alien races mate in that book. She said, no wonder you are worried your readers will revolt on you.
- You set your hours. I am a night owl so if I want to start work at midnight and work till daylight, I can, and I do when I am home. In North Dakota I set my hours around my boyfriend.
- You meet amazing people in the same business as you.
- You find incredible fans who have amazing stories of their own to tell.
- You can kill off people in your books for great stress reliever. Looking at a friend and telling them they are going to die in your next book is hilarious. Telling a friend you are going to start a new series just so you can kill them again is also funny. I have a couple of people who have to die again because, well, not sure authors need a reason to kill off their friends.
- Other authors completely understand when you complain your characters are not cooperating with your story. Especially if you have this nice story planned out and the characters go off the rails while you stare in shock at the screen trying to figure out when you ceased to control the story.
- People don’t think your browsing history is strange once they find out you’re an author.
- No pants required. Well, I mean, sometimes you have to people and for some reason people expect you to wear pants when you go out, but going to work in your pajamas is amazing.

Grace McGinty
Grace McGinty came to my attention through a mutual acquaintance.
Author Bio
Grace McGinty is the author of titles such as The Redeemable, Bright Lights From A Hurricane and Newly Undead In Dark River. When she isn’t writing, she’s reading in a hammock in the warm Australian sun.
Tell us about yourself.
Hi everyone, my name is Grace McGinty and I am an Australian author of Paranormal and Contemporary Romance. I’m a librarian by day, and a creator of sassy heroines and sexy heroes at night. I have an assortment of pets, a hopeless chocolate addiction and will probably be crushed by my TBR pile one day.
When did you know you wanted to be an author?
I was six. I wrote a story about a girl who became friends with a ghost in a cave. I loved that I could make my own stories, invent my own people, and have the goodie conquer the baddies every time.
What genres do you like to read? Are these the same genres you write in?
I read all genres of books, but YA Fantasy has to be my favourite at the moment. I’ve always been a fantasy fanatic, from the first time I read The Lord of The Rings in the 7th grade. I don’t actually write in either of these genres, but never say never, right?
Is your book for adults, young adults or children?
The majority of my work is for adults. However, I do write books for young adults and new adults as well.
What is your current release or project?
My current release is a novella called ‘Hunting Isla’. It is a reverse harem paranormal romance.
Tell us about the key characters:
The book centres around Isla, a foster kid who makes an impossible split decision to disappear without a word, and the three boys who won’t rest until they find her. The book switches between POV between Isla, Axel, Wyatt and Archer.
What is your blurb or synopsis of the book?
Sometimes a simple choice, like opening a window, can alter your destiny forever.
Five years ago, Isla’s life was as happy as it had ever been. She’d finally had a place and people to call her own. But a split second decision irrevocably changed her life, and there was no going back.
Axel, Archer and Wyatt have spent the last five years hunting for Isla across the country after she disappeared from her home one night. Determined to find the girl that completed their Pride like no person before or since, they track her to Louisiana, and are prepared to beg her to come home.
But what they find down in the Bayou changes everything, and they soon find themselves in a life or death battle with a psychopathic lion monarch, as they desperately try to convince Isla that not only can she trust them, but that they all belong together.
Hunting Isla is the prequel novella to the Black Mountain Mates series.

“Lala,” I whispered her name softly, and her eyes shot to me. My heart stopped as I took her in. She looked like death. Her skin was grey, her hair a stringy brown mess, her clothes hanging from her bones. She smelled like she hadn’t showered in a week and the dark circles under her eyes made it appear as if she was death walking. I took in a deep breath but couldn’t smell the underlying chemical scent of drugs. Not that any part of me believed my Lala would take drugs. Not after her upbringing.
“Wyatt?” She whispered my name back on barely a breath, her head shaking like she couldn’t believe it. She looked past me to Axel, letting the gun fall from her limp hand.
“Axel.” The relief in her voice was palpable now. Archer had made it through the back of the house, and he cleared his throat behind Isla’s back.
She looked over her shoulder and let out a small smile. “Archie.”
And then she crumpled, toppling face-first toward the ground. Only Archer’s quick reflexes saved her from serious injury. He pulled her back towards his body and then scooped her into his arms.
“She’s burning up.” She was sick, not on drugs. I knew it.
Do you have a favorite scene?
Oh, I do. There is a pretty big plot twist in the middle of the first chapter, and I love it. My favourite part of being a writer is throwing things at my readers and hoping they hang on for the ride. I won’t share it because spoilers!
What advice would you give a beginner?
Hmm, this is a tough one because advice is not one-size-fits-all. But I’ll try.
The beginning and end of your book is going to flow so easily it will be like words are pouring out of your fingers, but the middle is hard work. Just keep at it. Ten words today is ten words you didn’t have yesterday. Word sprints are your friend. Also, don’t edit until the end. The first draft is just shovelling sand. It’s the first edit where you mould that sand into a castle.

Amelia Oliver – returns!
I’m really pleased to welcome Amelia Oliver back to my blog! Her sexy books have captured my attention and have entertained me thoroughly.
I’ve read three of her books – Never Ever, Four Ever, and Blaze. Click on the title to read my review on Goodreads.
Author Bio
Amelia Oliver lives at the seaside in England with her husband and son, Oliver. When she’s not busy being a mum and wife, she writes. Luckily, her husband supports her 100% and helps her bring life to the characters in her head, who demands she writes their story. If there’s one thing Amelia doesn’t like it’s to choose, and neither does her fictional women. That’s why she’s writing in the reverse harem genre, where her heroines will never have to choose just one guy.
Amelia is no stranger to mental and physical health problems, so she loves writing about women who overcome struggles. Amelia is a self-proclaimed potty mouth with a naughty sense of humour. Seriously, who said “he/she said” jokes aren’t funny???
Since your last visit, give us an update on you and what you’ve been up to.
Thank you for having me back Eileen! It’s a pleasure as always. You rock

Memories assault me, lying helpless under a pile of rubble in a dark room. My blood cooling against the dirty wooden floor beneath me. Wishing with every ounce of my soul I wasn’t a broken bitch, and I could just allow myself to love. And be loved. My mother’s face looking concerned as I refused to get to know any of the boys who visited Kaleido‐scope farm. Hands grab my body in all directions and teeth sink into my flesh as four distinct male voices scream my name.
“Argh fuuuuck.” The words burst from my lips as fire erupts from my body, pouring out like water from a broken skin. The hands around my throat melt away, the skin drip‐ping down the front of my body as my clothes fall. Pain unlike anything I’ve ever felt leaches energy from me. I sink to the ground, my legs no longer able to hold me up. GuessI’m not a muggle after all. Darkness covers my vision as the ground races up to meet my face. I am so sick of passing out!
“Kayla. Oh my God. Shit! She’s bleeding out,” Charlie cries out. Warmth touches my cheek as the cold seeps into mybones.
“Heal her already, Charlie!” Crowley yells, the sound of skin hitting skin penetrates the darkness. Someone just got slapped. “Heal her!” Soft plump lips gently press against mine.
I wait for the rush to start, he’s healed me before so now I know what to expect, I brace myself. Only, nothing happens. He pulls away, taking his heat and sweet scent with him. No!
“It’s not working…” Poor Charlie sounds so confused. As I drift away a sob makes me pull back. Charlie! No. Please don’t cry for me. Did we save Chris?
“Try. Again,” Crowley growls, he sounds so pissed, I’d hate to be Charlie right now. It’s not Charlie’s fault, you grumpy sod!
Charlie’s lips once again meet mine, this time they’re wet with salty tears. The darkness closes in again. I hear Charlie scream my name and Connor’s crying big sobs. Crowley curses everything under the Godforsaken sun and I take my last breath. The ground beneath me is shaking. Or is that me? Opening my eyes, I’m surrounded by pure white light. Whoa, where am I?
“Kayla, my daughter.”
My entire body freezes, snakes slither inside my stomach.
“Mother?” Turning without even moving, I come face to face with my dead mother.
I LOVE this scene. It’s one of my favorites…. Please tell us about any other accomplishments.
I have a Christmas short story coming out soon, and a short BBW story coming out in January. I’m also working on a continuation of Blaze, called Hybrid.
Are you attending any events (online or in person)
No, not yet.
What’s next for you?
I’m working on Hybrid, I also have several more books planned for next year. The third and final instalment of The Everly Davis Chronicles, one with vampires, one with werewolves and many more!
With more experience, what advice would you give a new author?
Amelia – There’s no such thing as CAN’T, or too much sex.

When did you know you wanted to be an author?
I thought about writing five years ago. I had an idea in my head and started writing my first manuscript. I didn’t finish it at the time because of my daily job. I’ve retired and started writing again. I had no idea of what I was doing at the time. Although I’ve read more than a thousand books throughout my life, I didn’t know anything about writing, editing, and publishing.
I’m now fully dedicated to my writing and to improve my writing, editing, and publishing skills. It’s been a fun and enlightening adventure!

This is part of Chapter 1 – Into my soulmate’s arms – Through another dimension Book 1 (To be released)
It’s only 4 PM on the PC taskbar. God, two more hours to go. The numbers on this report are already blurring into one. I don’t know if I can stand it. The awkward glances I’m getting all day is not helping matters. It looks like, despite my efforts, my makeup is not hiding the effects of my sleepless night. Damn you Jacob! Damn you to hell! My blood boils just to think of him. How could I be so stupid?
I get my phone and mug and leave my cubicle to grab some coffee. I wish I could wear dark lenses inside the office without attracting more attention than I already am with my puffy eyes.
I pour some coffee on my mug and check my phone. There’s one message from Ramona and nine messages from Jacob. I delete his messages without reading them and open Mona’s message next. It says, ‘Why are you not answering your phone? Call me!!’
I check my surroundings and type a quick reply. ‘I’m at the office. I’ll call you around 6 PM.’
“Have you finished revising the Fixed Assets Report, Laurie?” I almost drop the mug I’m washing on the sink. Oh God, not now. Arms crossed, Mr. Miller waits for my reply.
“Ah, no Mr. Miller. I’m almost done, though.” I try to hide my discomfort, keeping my profile to him.
“Laurie, you know the deadline is today. It shouldn’t take you this long to revise it for God’s sakes!”
“I know Mr. Miller. I’ll finish it today, I promise.”
“You’d better!” He leaves, but the threat hangs in the air.
I exhale. What’s wrong with this guy? I work hard and meet all his impossible deadlines. But it’s never good enough. Honestly, I don’t know why he hasn’t fired me yet.
Returning to my desk, I concentrate on the spreadsheet with resignation. I can’t lose my job now.
When the clock strikes 6 PM, I press the send button. Mr. Miller will have the whole weekend to plot new topics to torture me on Monday.
My phone chimes with another message from Jacob. I roll my eyes and count to ten. I hate the fact he still has power over me. I open the message. I’m at the verge of throwing my phone against the wall. The fact that I cannot afford a new one stops me. Instead, I call Ramona.
“Finally! I’ve been trying to talk to you the whole day. What the hell happened?” That’s Ramona. Straight to the point.
“I had a shitty day. And yesterday was even shittier. How about we meet for dinner at Dooley’s and I tell you everything? I can’t talk now. I’m at the office.”
“All right! I meet you there in half an hour.”
“Deal.”
Forty minutes later, I arrive at the pub and Ramona is already there at our favorite table sipping her Diet Coke.
I greet her and take my seat next to her at the sofa. She stares at me without saying a word. I force a smile and pretend I’m reading the menu.
“What’s happened between you and Jacob?” She gets right to it.
I bite my lower lip and taste a little blood. It all comes back to me. I try hard not to weep all over again. I should be done with crying by now. After a deep breath, I relay last night’s events to Mona.
“I was using my computer to update my on-line business profile. You know I’m looking for a better job and updating my online CV and photo is an important step. When I’ve opened the folder to upload my new CV, I saw a new folder that wasn’t there before. I thought I’ve created it by mistake. So, I’ve opened it and found a series of pictures and videos.”
“Oh, oh.”
“You see where I am going. The stupid bastard filmed his sexual escapades and saved them on my computer! My own computer! How stupid is that?” My voice raises an octave at this last part. “It’s like he wanted for me to find out.”
“Oh, darling, I’m so sorry.”
I stop talking for a minute and let Ramona hug me. I grit my teeth every time I see those fucking pictures in my head. I’ve never taken myself as someone capable of killing another human being. But I swear to God, if I had a gun at that moment, I’d shoot Jacob right between his deceitful eyes without an ounce of regret.
Ramona releases me from her hug, and I continue my story. “The bastard had the nerve to deny it to my face.”
“Who was the girl?” Ramona asks me reluctantly.
“Oh, there were several.”
